As I painter I am most intrigued with texture, color, and composition. I rarely work exclusively with any one material. Most of my work reflects a marriage of mediums with acrylic serving as the foundation. I also enjoy getting away from the brush and exploring a variety of ways to move paint around on its surface. As I approach the canvas or panel, my intention is open and curious. The resulting compositions come from a process of construction and deconstruction with color, words, and images.
